Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR Accreditation

There is now a reimbursement grant program to cover fees associated with applying for and earning the GBAC STAR accredidation for infectious disease outbreak prevention, response and recovery. This Accreditation ensures that companies are trained on the techniques to properly disinfect and maintain their brick and mortar locations to create a “Safe. Smart.” environment for all upon reopening. 
 
 

RE-OPENING FLORIDA: 

Phase 2:  Went into effect June 5, 2020 for all Florida counties except Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. 

Local governments may adopt requirements directly on businesses, operations or venues, including buildings, beaches and parks, that may be stricter than the state. Report a business that violates these orders to local law enforcement.

EXECUTIVE ORDER

Pasco County Requires Masks

An executive order requiring everyone in Pasco County to use face coverings while indoors at a public business or county government facility is now in effect.  Code Enforcement will begin enforcing this order Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 5 p.m.

Face Covering Order Requirements:

  • Face coverings should cover nose and mouth
  • Order applies to all businesses and county government facilities open to the public
  • Businesses must ensure compliance with this Order
  • Businesses in violation of this Order could face a fine of up to $250

Pasco County Restaurant Recovery

  • Pasco County will temporarily allow restaurants expanded outdoor seating for open-air dining without submitting for a permit complete details

  • Department of Health (DOH) recommends wearing face masks in public
  • COVID-19 prevention and protection DOH flyers for the workplace, download here
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 
    • Guidance for cleaning and disinfecting public spaces, workplaces, businesses, schools, and homes
    • The EPA has also publicized a list of more than 300 approved disinfectant products for safely fighting against COVID-19
