Pasco EDC Task Forces & Committees
Participation in one of Pasco EDC's task forces or committees is a great way to actively contribute to the cultivation of a vibrant business climate in Pasco County, a climate in which every business can achieve its economic potential.
Reshoring Task Force
Established to plan and create a targeted marketing effort to bring good, well-paying manufacturing jobs back to the United States, specifically Pasco County Florida by marketing our cost savings, competitive programs, and our strategic location. (led by Pasco EDC Marketing, Business Recruitment, and International staff)
Sustainability Planning Task Force
Established to investigate alternative models for funding and create a financial sustainability plan for programs currently funded by Pasco County’s Penny for Paso tax referendum. Pasco EDC’s funding agreement for these programs is set to expire September 30th, 2021. (led by Pasco EDC SMARTstart, WorkforceConnect, and Administrative staff)
Global Competitiveness Committee
Established to collaborate and identify ways to WIN international and domestic projects by removing obstacles that may impede the county’s ability to be competitive and aid in enhancing current economic development efforts through innovation. Discussions may include, but aren’t limited to matters such as transportation, education, workforce, quality of life, reputation, and socioeconomic mobility.
Marketing Advisory Committee
Established to bring together marketing professionals from Pasco County based companies as a sounding board for best practices and creative ideas on how to market Pasco County as a location for businesses to move to and continue to operate in. The committee will be charged with creating a unique public relations effort to support a Pasco EDC initiative. Committee discussions will also include ideas on ways to more cohesively align marketing tactics throughout Pasco County.
WorkforceCONNECT Advisory Committee
Continues to bring together advocates who are passionate about workforce development as counsel for the new Pasco Pipeline program initiatives. The committee will provide direction, data and ideas necessary to develop Pasco’s talent pipeline and website to ensure the success of aligning the supply and demand of talent in Pasco County.
Annual Awards Committee
The Awards Committee convenes each May to interview and select award recepients for the Annual Awards and Trade Show which is held each September. The committee receives all the eligible award nominees to interview during the summer months and votes on the winners in each of the categories below:

Mediam (21 - 100 employees)
Large (101+ employees)

Audit Committee
A four-person Audit Committee is appointed by the Chair each year and must include:
- A Past Chair
- The Current Secretary/Treasurer
- And Two Board Members
The Audit Committee serves as a direct communication link between the audit firm and the Pasco EDC. The purpose is to engage in audit planning, monitor the progress of the audit and be responsible for financial reporting oversight. The Audit Committee may also meet annually to review and/or implement safeguards to prevent financial fraud.
