Business Center Discovers Benefits in Working with Local Entrepreneurs
February 17, 2016
The Dade City Business Center recently announced the launch of its new website developed by Entangle Media, a member of the SMARTstart Dade City Business Incubator.
Jim Guedry, one of the Dade City Business Center owners, explained the extensive renovations at the business park led to the need for the new website. “With these renovations, Dade City Business Center is now one of the largest business parks in Pasco County and one of the few with heavy industrial space,” said Guedry. “We needed a modern website, accessible on a variety of devices that we could easily maintain ourselves.”
Guedry was thrilled to find Entangle Media—a company with the technical skills he was looking for—was located within his business park at the SMARTstart Incubator. The incubator program, run by the Pasco Economic Development Council, has been a draw for early-stage tech companies and other professional service providers that local companies are looking to hire.
“We have talented people and companies that want to live and work in this area,” said Krista Covey, SMARTstart Business Incubator Director. “Our incubators give companies the space and support to grow in Pasco County without the overhead that is often a barrier to transferring locations or starting a new business.”
For his part, Guedry appreciated working with a local business. “Working with someone local and accessible who could respond to our needs quickly was important in meeting our year-end deadline, and Entangle Media has extensive experience in building the type of website we were looking for,” he said.
Entangle Media CEO Mark Pinson noted that developing easy-to-manage websites for his clients is an important part of his business. “We add a lot of custom functionality to websites so owners can manage updates without technical support,” said Pinson. “This was especially important for the Dade City Business Center website, which will be updated regularly as property availabilities change.”
Covey pointed out that the incubator program not only helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses but also contributes to the overall growth of the County. “In this case, Dade City Business Center has amenities that can attract businesses from across the country to Pasco County, but it needed an online presence to establish its brand and increase its marketing reach. Entangle Media is using the SMARTstart space to transition their online marketing business to Pasco County. The net result is a great example of Pasco EDC programs working together to stimulate economic growth for the County.”
