From the early years of pioneering technological advancements in Florida's citrus industry to our revolutionary breakthroughs in advanced sensor-based manufacturing methods for global brands like METTLER TOLEDO, Pasco is positioned for long-term growth. With access to the second-largest manufacturing workforce in Florida that is high-skilled, forward-thinking, and growing at a rate of 2% annually, Pasco County is ready for the future.

Aerospace, Aviation, & Defense
Only minutes from United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) headquarters, Pasco County’s robust local initiatives for workforce development, business incentives, infrastructure improvements, and low tax policies have helped Pasco’s aviation and defense contractors TRU Simulation + Training and Pall Aeropower significantly expand their facilities. Recent investments in critical infrastructure and a runway expansion at the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport combined with over 2,000 acres of industrial “Ready Sites” properties provide endless possibilities for growth in Pasco.

Business & Professional Services
Pasco County is experiencing unprecedented growth with over 19,000 acres of master planned developments in the works to create the ultimate “Live, Work and Play” communities. Access to five major commuter arteries, a skilled workforce, and a superior quality life were major factors for companies such as Encompass Health Corp., Santander Consumer USA, and Ensurem and their decision to locate major operations in Pasco creating over 1,200 jobs.

High Technology
Pasco County is strategically located in the Tampa Bay region, which is home to 20% of the state’s IT positions and within Florida’s high-tech corridor which produces some of the country’s top tech talent. Locally, we foster and develop our future workforce through two STEM high school programs and a robust talent pipeline. Our workforce along with Florida being #3 for most fiber miles among states with 61,000 total fiber miles makes Pasco the perfect location for the tech industry.

Life Sciences & Medical Technology
Healthcare and Life Sciences are some of Florida's fastest growing advanced industries and Pasco County is no exception to this growth. With access to a robust life sciences talent pipeline that sees 20,000 awards achieved every year within the region, announcements of expansions from established health research giants like Moffitt Cancer Research Center and fast-growing start-ups like Bravado Pharmaceuticals gives testimony to the opportunities Pasco County offers companies looking to locate in Tampa Bay’s life sciences corridor.
