Economic Development Professional Juawana Williams will head recruitment and retention efforts

PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA (January 24, 2018) — The Pasco Economic Development Council (Pasco EDC) is pleased to welcome new Vice President Juawana Williams. Williams relocated to the Tampa Bay region in 2017. Prior to her move, Williams was in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where she served as the Director of Economic Development.

“Pasco County has had great success, and I am excited about the opportunity to represent a community that will undoubtedly have many more,” exclaimed Williams.

Williams has practiced both local and regional economic development efforts in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Houston, Texas. She joins the Pasco EDC with more than 10 years of experience in economic development, specializing in recruitment and retention efforts. In 2017, Consultant Connect named her as a top 50 Economic Developer.

“I’ve known Juawana for many years, and I am confident that her experience and leadership will lift our organization to the next level,” said Bill Cronin, President/CEO, Pasco EDC. “Pasco County is lucky to have her.”

Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwood University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute. She is married to Bryan Williams of the US Army, and is a mother to one son and one step daughter. Her favorite quote is, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” by Helen Keller.
