Pasco EDC Task Forces & Committees

Participation in one of Pasco EDC's task forces or committees is a great way to actively contribute to the cultivation of a vibrant business climate in Pasco County, a climate in which every business can achieve its economic potential.

Talent Attraction Task Force

Established to develop a strategy that identifies ways in which Pasco County can continue to attract the top talent needed by target industry employers.  The strategy should address current and future labor market trends such as work-from-home and hybrid working models while taking into consideration the organic flow of workers to Pasco County that has bolstered the local labor pool for the past decade. Additionally, identify best practices from around the United States in similar efforts and coordinate with local stakeholders on a combined approach that leverages the community’s resources in the most efficient way.

Creativity in Business Task Force

Established to identify and develop best practices for Pasco County employers to foster a culture of creativity and passion in their workforce. Through this task force, members will identify strategies that are used to increase innovation in the workforce, promote intrapreneurship (taking ownership in your work), and even establish new career pipelines for the workforce. The task force members will engage with Pasco employers to understand their current practices and employee culture. The task force will publish a report to share with the Pasco County business community highlighting the benefits of improving the Workforce Culture by encouraging a culture of creativity.

Global Competitiveness Committee

Established to collaborate and identify ways to WIN international and domestic projects by removing obstacles that may impede the county’s ability to be competitive and aid in enhancing current economic development efforts through innovation.  Discussions may include, but aren’t limited to matters such as transportation, education, workforce, quality of life, reputation, and socioeconomic mobility.

WorkforceCONNECT Advisory Committee

Continues to bring together advocates who are passionate about workforce development as counsel for the new Pasco Pipeline program initiatives.  The committee will provide direction, data and ideas necessary to develop Pasco’s talent pipeline and website to ensure the success of aligning the supply and demand of talent in Pasco County.

Audit Committee

A four-person Audit Committee is appointed by the Chair each year and must include:

  • A Past Chair
  • The Current Secretary/Treasurer
  • And Two Board Members

The Audit Committee serves as a direct communication link between the audit firm and the Pasco EDC. The purpose is to engage in audit planning, monitor the progress of the audit and be responsible for financial reporting oversight. The Audit Committee may also meet annually to review and/or implement safeguards to prevent financial fraud.
