The Pasco EDC Staff
Bill joined the Pasco EDC as President/CEO as of January 2016 after a nation-wide search. He has a long career in economic development spanning 25 years in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Bill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs and Political Science as well as a certificate in Asian Studies from Michigan State University. Bill has extensive knowledge and experience which includes ten years with Enterprise Florida, specializing in international trade and business development.
John Walsh, CEcD
John is responsible for business recruitment, project management, and marketing. He has over 19 years of economic development work experience. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida, the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute, and received his professional certification, CEcD, from the International Economic Development Council and a graduate of Leadership Pasco 1991.
SMARTStart Business Incubator Director
Krista is responsible for business assistance to companies in the Pasco County area. Her responsibilities include researching and coordinating help for local businesses with respect to strategic business development, training, finances, marketing, and other issues. She manages the Pasco Microloan Fund and the Pasco Economic Gardening program for established companies, as well as the Pasco Enterprise Network. Krista holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from Southeastern University and her MBA from Saint Leo University. Krista is also a Certified Program Director with National Center for Economic Gardening, a Certified Incubator Manager and Board member with the International Business Innovation Association, a Board Member with the Florida Business Incubator Association, and a graduate of Leadership Pasco 2012.
Economic Development Manager
Tom is responsible for business development of new and expanding office, technology, and industrial related businesses and parks. His responsibilities also include coordinating strategies to support economic development efforts in targeted areas, including, confidential site analysis, regulatory assistance, compiling location data and incentive programs. Tom holds a B.A. in Communication Management from University of Dayton, a licensed Realtor, and a graduate of Leadership Pasco 2014.
Economic Development Manager
Devon is responsible for local business retention and expansion as well as international development within Pasco County. Her responsibilities include assisting businesses with workforce training programs, evaluating financing options, international trade opportunities, recruiting foreign direct investment and developing complementary programs and resources to support those efforts. Devon holds a B.S. in Recreation and Leisure Services Administration with a double emphasis in Travel & Tourism and Special Event Planning from Florida State University. She also earned minors in Business and Communications.
Suzanne is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations, procedures, events, and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Before joining Pasco EDC in 1994, Suzanne served as Public Affairs Coordinator at Saint Leo University. Suzanne is a graduate of Taylor Business Institute in Paramus, New Jersey.
Marketing Communications Coordinator - (currently vacant)
Special Program Assistant
Becky provides administrative support for the Pasco EDC staff at various levels with emphasis placed on event coordination and execution, marketing support of social media distribution, all aspects of the Pasco Microloan Program, and support of the SMARTstart Business Incubator program. She is also responsible for updating the programs and information on the SMARTstart website and tracking of leads received through Pasco Enterprise Network (PEN). Prior to joining Pasco EDC, Becky worked for the Department of Health and The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce. She is also a graduate of Leadership Hernando 2009.
