The Food Policy Advisory Council (FPAC) was established in 2015 by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners to promote a resilient, equitable, and locally focused food system. FPAC provides policy recommendations to the BCC related to:

• The availability of safe, nutritious, and affordable food
• Conservation and sustainable use of agricultural land
• Reduction of food transportation distances
• Support for agricultural education and outreach
