This training provides a comprehensive review of food safety practices and prepares participants for the ServSafe® Manager Certification Exam. Participants are strongly encouraged to study the course material prior to attending the class.

We highly recommend reviewing the ServSafe Manager 7th Edition textbook before the class, as the presentation serves as a brief but comprehensive review of the material.
For those bringing lunch, a refrigerator and microwave will be available.

The University of Florida Food Safety and Quality Program is dedicated to providing training that helps food managers and staff ensure food is prepared in a clean and safe environment for Florida consumers.

This training is offered through UF/IFAS Cooperative Extension County Offices across the State of Florida. The program provides the most up-to-date information and current regulations related to food safety. University of Florida County Faculty lead the training and can also provide customized training programs for food establishments.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the University of Florida Food Safety and Quality Program.

Participants who pass the ServSafe® Manager Exam will receive a National Certification valid for five years. Exam results and certificates are typically sent within approximately two weeks after the exam.

The ServSafe® curriculum and Manager Exam are developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Certification is required in Florida for food managers of establishments licensed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and selected licensees of the Department of Health.
