Economic Development and Banking veteran Tari Mitchell to run new West Pasco Center.
PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA (October 26, 2017) — The Pasco Economic Development Council (Pasco EDC) is pleased to welcome new SMARTstart Program Manager, Tari Mitchell. Mitchell was previously involved with the Pasco EDC through numerous committees and task forces over the last year.
“I have worked with EDC’s in other states and helping business is what I truly enjoy,” said Mitchell. “I’m excited the opportunity presented itself for me to become a part of the inside team and can’t wait to see what we will do together.”
Mitchell is an established professional with an expertise in business development, new market expansion, credit underwriting, and portfolio/project management. He has experience across diverse industries, working with both non-profit and traditional financial institutions. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics/Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
“Tari has the fire we were seeking to develop entrepreneurs,” said Bill Cronin, President/CEO, Pasco EDC. “His skill set includes the ability to create specific strategies to increase organizational market share and opportunities for client impact and that’s what we need at our new West Pasco Entrepreneur Center.”
A primary focus of Mitchell’s is to develop a portfolio of early stage entrepreneurs in Pasco who understand how to develop their products and services in collaboration with their customers, instead of reaching out to customers only once they are ready to go to market. He will also take the lead on the SMARTstart Microloan Program.
