June 23, 2020
Pasco EDC is set to open a third Entrepreneur Center with Business Incubator this Fall.
PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA (June 23, 2020) — The Pasco Economic Development Council (Pasco EDC) is opening SMARTstart at The Grove in Wesley Chapel; its third Entrepreneur Center and Business Incubator location in Pasco County. Entrepreneurs are seeking new on-trend workspace locations and places to collaborate with like-minded individuals. The Pasco EDC recognizes innovation often requires inspiration, so this new location will bring a new and exciting flair to the SMARTstart Program. The suite is currently being built out and is expected to open in Fall of 2020.
“The new SMARTstart Incubator at The Grove will play an important role in the continued growth of our small business community,” Pasco County Commission Chairman Mike Moore said. “This is another example of the excellent partnership between Pasco County and the Pasco Economic Development Council to make our community the premier place for business.”
The new location will be based in the heart of brand-new developments taking place which includes a walkable food and entertainment district as well as KRATE, a new shipping container business development.
“A major part of what the Pasco EDC does is work with existing Pasco County businesses to understand their needs and be able to respond and offer programs which will help them continue to grow,” said Bill Cronin, President/CEO, Pasco EDC. “Our SMARTstart Program specifically works with start-ups and small businesses in the community, and this new center fits very well with not only new tech start-ups but also trendy foodie-type businesses growing in the area.”
SMARTstart at The Grove is set to include 10 private offices, 32 dedicated desks, a coworking lounge, huddle rooms, executive board room, digital media studio, as well as classroom and meeting space. Another benefit for SMARTstart members is access to additional entrepreneur support organizations that help small businesses start and grow. Pasco County food entrepreneurs will be able to participate in a pop-up shop at KRATE, a unique shipping container development on site at The Grove.
“We are extremely excited to be able to offer our area entrepreneurs a place within striking distance to all our county and region has to offer. This third center will continue to allow our start-ups to have a county-wide presence with just one membership,” shared Dan Mitchell, SMARTstart Program Director. “At the same time this doubles the capacity of our impact in Pasco.”
A major benefit of becoming a SMARTstart member includes access to all three of the entrepreneur centers throughout Pasco County each with their own on-site perks. Coworking-only memberships start as low as $45 per month, while full incubator memberships start as low as $100 per month.
