Amazon’s new Pasco robotics facility has $150 million price tag

Amazon.com's new robotic sortation center in Pasco County represents a $150 million capital investment.

The sortation facility, which first went public at the Pasco County Economic Development Council's annual luncheon on Jan. 20, will be 517,220 square feet in the 127-acre Eagle Industrial Park off of state road 52. It will employ 500 people.

Amazon to open robotic sortation facility in Pasco County, create hundreds of jobs

E-commerce giant Amazon.com plans to bring one of its most sophisticated facilities to Pasco County.

Seattle-based Amazon plans to build a 500,000-square-foot robotic sortation center off of State Road 52 that will create 500 jobs. The deal was announced Thursday at the Pasco County Economic Development Council's economic forecast luncheon in Wesley Chapel.
